A place where you can see your dollars actually put to work

The SFCHA was established in 1985 to protect the Managed Waterfowl Area of Shiawassee River State Game Area from closure. The Shiawassee River State Game Area is just over 10,000 acres of managed waterfowl, upland, and deer habitat.

The SFCHA is an organization centered on primarily waterfowl but also deer conservation and hunting as well as hiking, kayaking, and anything outdoors. Our organization works hand in hand with state and federal agencies such as the Department of Natural Resources and the Shiawassee National Wildlife Refuge to advise and volunteer our decades of experience and know how to better waterfowl and deer habitats.

The SFCHA is accredited to raising hundreds of thousands of dollars whether through grant matches, private funding, and most importantly volunteer man hours (sweat equity) spent working to better the Shiawassee Flats and surrounding areas. The SFCHA and its members and guests work tirelessly throughout the year to make this area we all love a better place for all to enjoy.
